Bon Voyage Organisation have gone through a number of evolutionary stages. The Adrien Durand-founded project began life as Les Aeroplanes in 2009, putting out an EP titled ‘Impersonnel Naviuant’ of propulsive jazz-techno hybrids on Hieroglyphic Being’s Mathematic Recordings imprint.

A name change to Bon Voyage followed, before the group expanded with the addition of new members and instruments, broadening their sound and lengthening their moniker to its current form.

The constant through each of the Paris-based band’s incarnations is the exuberance poured into each track. Cocktail d’Amore including ‘Presque l'Amazonie’ on its ‘Nothing Matters When We’re Dancing’ compilation reflects BVO’s knack for crafting lively and infectious floor-fillers. The Berghain-hosted gay party is reputed for the open-mindedness of its atmosphere and attendees, and only the most outrageous music makes the cut.

Next outing ‘Géographie’ is another peach of a record. Agathe Bonitzer’s charming vocals take centre stage, framed brilliantly by an orchestral arrangement of cosmic synths, funk-fuelled bass, alluring sax and untamed flutes. Listen below.
