Adult Swim locks in 70 additional episodes of Rick and Morty

Rick and Morty is the unfathomably weird and wonderful cartoon that's got infinite universes laughing and frowning in unison. After three wildly successful seasons, Adult Swim has ordered 70 additional episodes of the show. This comes after a period of uncertainty for the show after the news broke in March that the network had not ordered any new episodes from the cartoon's creator Dan Harmon.

A drawing created by voice actor and show writer Justin Roiland, which was posted on Rick and Morty’s Facebook page today, revealed the news to the world and fans are responding with feelings of excitement and skepticism. The Rick and Morty fanbase is a mixed bag of zealous nerds, stoners, cartoon connoisseurs, people with a high IQ (according to Elon Musk) and regular folks with a decent sense of humor.
