A LEGO band has covered Kraftwerk's track 'The Robots'

Rolling it back to 1978 in a very futuristic way

A Kraftwerk fan has recreated the band's 1978 track 'The Robots' using toys that make total sense.

Using LEGO Bionicle figures, named the Toa Mata Band, Giuseppe Acito has used open-source prototyping platform Arduino to create a performance of the track and pay tribute to Kraftwerk's "brilliant approach to the music".

In the video titled The Man and the Machines, Acito performs the vocals while the miniature band use microcontrollers, pocket synths and xylophone keys as part of the cover.

As impressive as his performance is, Acito isn't quite as dedicated as this Kraftwerk fan.

Check the Toa Mata Band performance below and see the rest of Acito's videos here.
