30 photos capturing the juggernaut session of Houghton
24 hour party people
The debut Houghton festival took place last weekend across August 10 to 13, and now the UK has a best new festival.
Thanks to the 24 hour license, extended set times were the norm, and a host of the world's finest DJs took charge of sets that spanned from mind-altering weirdness to functionally explosive.
Beyond the tunes, during the day revellers were also able to take time to enjoy the blissful surroundings of Houghton Hall, venturing on art sculpture tours, relaxing by the sun-kissed lake, and doing yoga in a yurt.
Relive the non-stop thrill of the weekend in the gallery above, and listen to a 100-track playlist of tracks heard on the dancefloors here.
