Come to Ibiza with Mixmag and Don’t Stay In

Mixmag and Don’t Stay In have joined forces to create the ultimate trip to Ibiza.

We’ve sorted out an incredible Ibiza package for four nights on the island starting on Monday August 30 to Friday September 3.

Between those dates we’ve arranged the ideal clubbers package including: four nights accommodation at Ibiza Rocks Hotel, parties and guestlists sorted for every night, 25% discount on drinks at the hotel and a bunch of money can’t buy VIP upgrades in the clubs.

The Mixmag/ Don’t Stay In Ibiza session will run like this:

Monday: Arrive at Ibiza Rocks Hotel, exclusive Don’t Stay In Party that night in Electric Lounge (not open to public) with secret guest DJs

Tuesday: Free admission to Ibiza Rocks gig + after party

Wednesday: Don’t Stay In pre-party @ Bar M followed by guestlist for Reclaim the Dancefloor @ Eden

Thursday: Mixmag @ Cream Ibiza pre-party and exclusive bus to Cream Ibiza and the Mixmag Terrace @ Amnesia with VIP guestlist and access to the VIP balcony for the first 150 people booking this package

Friday: Farewell pool party with special guests

• Throughout your stay you can use a 25% discount on drinks at Ibiza Rocks Hotel meaning your pre-club round just got a lot cheaper.

This adds up to an incredible Ibiza escape all for the insanely cheap price of £189!

Spaces are limited, however, if you want to reserve a space there's no need to pay for the whole holiday now – you can reserve your space with a £50 deposit and pay the rest later.

To book go to this booking page where you can place a deposit to hold your place or book the full package now.

Alternatively call 0208 780 5551 (Mon-Fri 9.30-530). If you have any questions about this amazing holiday package just call this number.

The £189 price is based on three sharing a self catering studio. If you require just two sharing a studio add an extra £35 per person. Extra nights, pool and stage view studios are available on request. Each booking is subject to a £4 booking fee.

We’ve purposely not included flights in the package allowing you to shop round for the best deal for you.

Mixmag and Don’t Stay In Ibiza Session is only accessible by booking the package above. Places are limited. No ‘wristband only’ sales are possible. 25% drinks discount does not work during the Ibiza Rocks gig on the Tuesday night.

Bunk the queue at Ministry with a condom on Saturday

If you're going to Ministry of Sound this weekend for Laidback Luke we advise you to take a condom with you.

We're not implying Luke's got a STI, heavens no, but if you flash a condom at the door you don't have to queue to get in.

It's all part of a sexual health campaign that's taken place at 100 clubs over the last two years.

The Queue Jump with a Condom promotion comes as a new campaign – Contraception. Worth Talking About – is launched to increase young people’s awareness of the different types of contraception and remind them that they won’t be protected against STIs without a condom.

For straightforward information on sexual health visit: www.nhs.uk/worthtalkingabout

Pioneer launch the DJM-2000 Mixer

Check out this little beauty. Well, maybe less of the little.

This is Pioneer's DJM-2000 mixer which launches today.

It has an innovative touch screen and arsenal of remixing FX, with six individual effects processors. It has effectively built in the technology of the EFX-1000, removing the need for an external effects unit along with touch screen technology from the SVM-1000.

The mixer has been developed with the help of a number of DJs. James Zabiela, Roger Sanchez, Eddie Halliwell, Tom Middleton, The Swedish House Mafia, Paul Woolford, John '00' Fleming and Kutski have all tested out the DJM-2000 at various stages of development.

You can buy the mixer in June - its price: €1,999 (£1822). For more see pioneerprodj.eu

Sébastien Tellier and Mr. Oizo work on Record Makers app

Parisian label Record Makers have made a free iPhone application along with a special digital compilation to commemorate a decade in existence.

The idea behind the application is to provide the user with a surrealistic visual game. The introduction theme comes courtesy of label figurehead, Sébastien Tellier, with Mr. Oizo on hand to provide the noises for this eccentric game of mix and match.

Prizes are on offer through the game. The entire discography is up for grabs, whilst every entry will be entered into a prize draw to win a trip for two to Paris in October including a week’s stay at Hotel L’Amour and an invite to Record Makers’ anniversary celebrations on 10/10/10.

It all started when the granny went to a nightclub to celebrate her grandson's birthday.

DJ Ruth looks like a wind-up to us. Is it April fools day already? Ruth, if you're still with us, get in touch.

Gatecrasher plan new £5m club in Sheffield - but need your 'help'

Gatecrasher is planning on investing £5m on a 30,000 square foot 'hyper-club' in the heart of Sheffield.

They plan to redevelop the basement of the infamous cheese grater car park (Q-Park) on Charles Street creating over 200 city jobs.

In what is either a genuine attempt at getting public backing or a shrewd ploy for rebuilding their database they're iasking clubbers to show their support for the plans via their 'petition'. Their website promises "If you sign up to this petition you are expressing support for the proposal and your information will be passed onto the planning department."

Why the planning department would need to know each respondent's 'musical preference' is anyone's guess.

It's been three years since the old Sheffield club burnt to the ground. The brand hope to open the new venue by September.
