The Bristol bass specialist is one of our favourite artists. Here's why: Signed to Deep Medi for his crucial, true-skool dubstep productions, he is heir to Mala's crown; Alongside fellow Bristolian Neek, he runs the vinyl-only Bandulu imprint, cutting fierce grime productions to wax and promoting 140bpm talent operating out of the South West.

Their grime arsenal is fearsome, as you can hear in our Kahn & Neek In Session mix and see during the Bandulu takeover of The Lab, which blew apart our office; Part of the Young Echo collective alongside Vessel, Ishan Sound, Jabu, El Kid, Rider Shafique and Neek, he contributes to one of the most forward-thinking squads in UK bass/experimental music, blurring the boundaries between dub, techno and noise with an uncompromising attitude; And he's also one half of Gorgon Sound (again alongside Neek), the formidable, heavy dub production/DJ unit that is continuing Bristol's staunch soundsystem culture.

So who else to call up for a mix ahead of Notting Hill Carnival? The London streetparty lands this weekend, once again letting the glorious sights, smells and, most importantly, sounds of Caribbean culture flow through the streets of the capital. To round off the week we have London bashment crew The Heatwave and legendary soundsystem operators Channel One in our office as well as this special carnival-ready mix from Kahn.

He cracks open his vinyl collection to select over an hour of heavy, heavy riddims. Moving from uplifting reggae through muscular new-skool ragga roots and ending with raw dancehall, this is one to get you limber and feeling oh-so-nice. You know what to do. Hit the download below.
