Hannah Wants is at the centre of a scene that's fast going global.

From Birmingham, she specialises in the jackin' house sound that is causing a ruckus in the Midlands and way, way beyond.

Since cutting her teeth during her first season in Ibiza in 2010, she's quickly risen to the top tier of the UK's underground music scene. Responsible for jackin' anthem 'Dappy' (alongside regular writing partner and UK stalwart Chris Lorenzo), her sleek, garage-flecked, rubbery bassline sound has caught the attention of key players like Eats Everything and Shadow Child.

In fact, Shadow Child digs her music so much that he's made her one of the stars of his burgeoning Food Music imprint (which he runs alongside Kry Wolf). It's a perfect match: Wants' jackin' is a super close relative to the bass-house that Shadow Child has been pioneering. She's a perfect fit for Food and her last release for the label epitomises why; a collab with Chris Lorenzo released last month, it's bouncy, fun and damn addictive. Straight dancefloor heat for those who want to dance.

Having spent two seasons in Ibiza, completed a mini-tour of South Africa, represented for major club brands (she's been booked for Creamfields and smashed the Cream 20th birthday), produced scene-defining tunes and built a loyal following that means her regular DJ mixes get hundreds of thousands of plays, it's clear Hannah Wants has got pure chops and tunes for days.

Off the back of yet another killer Food Music release, we thought it was time to get her to create a mix exclusively for us. Her contribution to the In Session series goes in, all backflip basslines and irresistible rhythms. One for the weekend crew for sure.
