BBC Radio
1 announced today that the station will return to the White Isle from Sunday 6 to 13 August for a whole week of broadcasts.
The week in Ibiza sees the station extend its coverage from its legendary Ibiza
Weekend to what will now be a mammoth 36 hours from a string of parties across the island.
The station has assembled a line-up including Pete Tong, Judge
Jules, Fergie and Dave Pearce who will broadcast their radio shows live from Café Mambo.
Also debuting on Radio 1 live from Ibiza will be Zane
Lowe, Vernon Kay and Colin
Murray and Edith Bowman, the latter will
host a special show live on the Saturday afternoon.
There will be some very special guests joining Radio 1 across the week including Carl
Cox, John Digweed, Sven Vath, Mauro
Picotto, Steve Lawler, Lisa Lashes, Groove
Armada, DJ Oliver and Andre Galuzzi who will be spinning exclusive live DJ sets.
Across the week, Radio 1 will broadcast live from Judgement Sundays, Cocoon,
Space, La Troya, Meganite, Ibiza Rocks, Pure Pacha and Cream.
Finally,
on Saturday there will be a six hour Ibiza special which will give listeners
a round-up of the best of Radio 1's coverage across the week.
