20 years ago and Acid House

I've just joined and subscribed to Mix Mag after reading about the "1988 Summer of Love" article. I'm 40 years old this year, so be gentle with me :)

20 years ago it was Acid House.. After going all serious for a few years and raising a family I'm having a resurgence of house, techno and electro music.. Am I too old? I'd like to think not. I've been flirting with the past at day long festivals, but this year going to the two day event at Creamfields. Just to bring back the memories.. Boutique camping of course :)

I seriously cannot wait and I'm so excited about it...

Never too old

You're never to old jack, Jack. And you'll be much younger than most of the DJs! Get involved...

you are never too old for

you are never too old for raving - good on you! it wont be quite the same if you are getting a posh tent though will it?
who you looking forward to seeing?

Posh tents...

haha, well I've decided a wee bit of comfort is required at the end of the night, so I'm ready to go ont he Sunday and then to drive up the road on the Monday :)
I'm looking forward to seeing on the Saturday, Felix da House Cat, Adam Beyer, Sasha, Fat Boy on the main stage should be good. Sunday, The Swedish House Mafie (after listning to mix mags free cd), Dave Clarke, Green Velvet, The Hacienda for some Old Skool and my GF wants to see Tiesto, but I fear a clash or two. What do you advise? I'm not the most knowledgable of DJ names, but I know what I like.

Are you going?

Involved....

Thanks mate..
Involved, I would love to get involved.. I'm desprately seeking a hobby and golf just does not do it for me.. A set of decks in my bedroom would be just fab.. Maybe one day..
Edinburgh? I like my Pressure nights run by Slam at the Arches in Glasgow.
Thanks again..
Matt :)

we will have a mixmag

we will have a mixmag representative there, yeah. are you going to have to bribe/buy elaborate gifts/ be very very nice to the girlfriend so that you get to see all the acts you've mentioned?!
I would go for Deadmau5, Late of the Pier, the Swedish house mafia, Little Boots, Laid Back Luke,SMD and yeah, FatBoy is always worth a watch. The Presets are wicked live as well. "I go hard, I go home' is my favourite track of the summer.
Have a great time!

Eh? I've already paid for

Eh? I've already paid for her ticket and I'm unlikely to see that dosh again :-o haha.. Maybe we'll meet some nice people who become our new best friends who will keep her company while I sneak away to see who I want ;-)
Thanks for the tips though, I have ticked them off and shall have a wee looksy..
Thanks again :)
